First thing on the title is almost self explanatory: Made a post on my Wordpress blog [as I still haven't figure out completely for sure what way I'll handle blogging over here on neocities] about how it was to go through all the stuff to master Mario Kart 64 over RetroAchievements. It sure had some difficult stuff, but surprisingly not nearly as packed with super difficult challenges or tedious stuff to repeat compared to other sets I've seen.
You can go read that right here - if you fancy. The other thing is...well, that I completed the Reverse championship at Wave Race 64 and everything that came before it. Consider this a teaser of possibly doing a WR64 video in the future with all the outtakes that getting to this point took me.
I also played another cup of Ring Racers 2.0 [Rocket Cup], but uhh...that is still uploading as of writing this, and I'll likely cram a playlist of those runs over the Ring Racers slot on the Memory Card area whenever I feel like getting to that. So...I think that's it for now. See you next time :]
So the first one is about a supercut of how it was to go through the entirety of Pokémon Puzzle Challenge's intense difficulty - pretty brutal and I tried to punctuate on that in the humbly edited video itself, but something I pulled off at the end of the day..
And the second one is that I've FINALLY given a second pass to my Mario Kart 64 wall-less video idea, basically taking my first pass and giving it the Director's Cut treatment to polish it a little bit to be satisfied with uploading it publicly. Enjoy the suffering I had doing those runs condense in a 10 minute silly :]
And I may do a Wave Race 64 video as well sooner or later - went through three out of four difficulty levels in the game...and there sure are a lot of outtakes that could chronicle the effort that took fairly succintly.
You read that right, and I may also set my eyes at Wave Race 64 soon as well, knowing I've played it casually long ago but never actually went through the whole game.
First of all, I played through enough Mario Kart 64 to have went for all the RetroAchievements and obtaining the Mastered badge for the game. I think I had a bit of this already over the [newly addded] entry for Mario Kart 64 in the Memory Card area of the website, including the ordeal that was doing the wall-less achievements, but a highlight that I got OUTSIDE of the required cheevos would be going for a Choco Mountain Time Trial personal best.
With F-Zero X, I simply went for all cups in Master mode [those Staff Ghosts are ABSURD] with the Blood Hawk, all thanks to some tinkering with the analog stick sensitivity on the emulator [more on that on its also new entry on the memory card area], and even going for the two 64DD exclusive cups I had NOT completed ever before in Master due to their brutal design. The video below is of the DD1 run, but I felt like the DD2 run took even more of a toll on me eventually [but its still being uploaded]. I also got a lot of stray footage for potentially cooking a silly video of deaths while trying to go for all cups in Master, but that's something that I haven't even started yet, so no promises on that...so far.
Finally, around four or five days ago when I was at another place with my old Wii, I finished the Zelda Ocarina of Time save I had in there on the Wii VC version. Last time I had played it, it was on the start of the Water Temple...so it was funny even if surreal to have gone through everything after that in just a few days, sometimes with some struggles on where to find stuff [that one hidden entrance to a spare key hidden behind the Longshot...], and other times I had a few hints from my brother [who tipped me off the need of Golden Gauntlets in the final castle and the upgrade you can get with it]. It was sure nice to finally have completed that one after years of only having beaten the 3DS version long before this.
Oh, and want to give a shoutout to KID★WITH★THE★CHEMICALZ★ for their awesome looking website - I found out about it as I got the notification he started following my website [thank you] and was surprised when I entered his...thT Windows 7 desktop with Counter Strike and Daemon Tools Lite shortcuts on the Music page really threw me for a nostalgic loop :,]
Also my 789 keys on my keyboard numpad started acting up out of nowhere for some reason. That's sure going to be a bummer to work around with down the line due to my muscle memory with those working normally all the time before today. But that's a thing for another sday.
Yeah, yet another nefarious GP montage is fresh out of the oven - was kinda stuck for a while but decided to carry on with 3/4 sections of the original plan, and leave the last section as something to reimagine in a separate video/ending.
That's it, that's the bulletin of today. If I do something new with Ultra Street Fighter IV again, I may bunch up the new upload with my previous ones in one to share about that process.
Here, take this for taking the time to open the bulletin :D
So...there's a big chance that whoever you are that's reading this does NOT remember when I used to have this journal page of sorts way before I even gave this website the first set of redesign changes, but the idea is basically reincarnated here in its full HTML and details tag glory...only that I'll be aiming to keep this one a fair bit more tidy by making it more about special updates on stuff I've made [new videos, new stuff I wrote up, new updates on my SRB2K and RR mods, etc], small updates on games I've started playing or finished, and the sort
And yes, the implication of that old Journal page being named "Journal" is that sometimes I added some entries about IRL events I usually wouldn't mention anywhere else...but for the sake of my privacy [and sanity] plus the sake of the time anyone spends reading these already, that's being phased out. So yeah, this here is now a bulletin board for updates on whatever I actively make and want to present, or at least small updates on game-related stuff that piques my curiosity.
