A MISERABLE LITTLE PILE OF WORDS- BUT ENOUGH TALK, HAVE AT YOU...wait, you are not richter

This is basically for me to tap on the idea of "microblogging" but on my own hut instead of at [insert website here]. Why? Because I wanted to - and also try to put my focus on...actually posting the small stuff I want to post, rather than getting sidetracked by the good [art, funny or cool clips], the bad [stupid take of the day and the inevitable QRTs dunking on it] and the ugly [fill that in yourself].

and yeah it was one of those days when I decided to put this together, although now I have more experience [and reasons] to carry this out

also hey I figured out to use this collapsible button to have the text explaining what this page does yippee

oh wow mario kart world is a nice game [from what i tried]

december 9th 2025

Likely biased over the fact that I could get a lot of good races by holding on to strong items midway through until the end lmao [classic kart smuggling], that aside I guess I felt somewhat cool the intermission stuff even though of course you'd only feel the defined feeling of a proper track when you arrived to one - perhaps it didn't feel like a massive storm of items either due to playing in 8p instead of 24p races

Mega Man X8 16-bit is super cool [but also tough with the damage]

december 5th 2025

When you think you're built like a tank with the Hermes armor pieces [Haven't found the buster yet] but Vile can easily chop off a quarter of your health with his attacks

There's so much cool stuff both in reimagining X8 stuff [which feels even more welcome after playing most of the original] and in QOL features, such as always getting full E-Tanks when you enter a stage from the stage select and rematches being available for Mavericks if you revisit their stages [justified with exploding into impostors when you defeat them], and even has some hidden mercy with how the Gateway stage lets you keep any bosses you defeated on a session stay defeated [very welcome when the twist with Gateway is that you have to face at least two bosses of your choice at once until all are gone]. That and how I could use the Flame Dash to break through what I expected to be ride armor only blocks.

The new weapon utilities some have are very welcome, like the Flame Dash acting as a second air dash [or if you have Foot Parts I, THIRD air dash] and the Optic Shield reflecting enemy shots back at them

a lot to catchup with [Diddy Kong Racing, Maverick Hunter X, Ring Racers 2.4 time attack and GP]

november 29 2025

So uhhh since its quite a few things to bunch up at once about different games, this time I'll bunch them up in separate buttons so that you can peek at the game you're interested in [but if you want to feel free to indulge me, you can read all of them anyways]

It had been a good while since last time I played DKR [months, to be precise], and some days ago I felt compelled into giving it a shot again with my save where I had left Adventure 2 at a completed Dino Domain. Unfortunately, the Snowflake Mountain recording unknowingly got recorded at an abysmal framerate [that's what i get for trying to record that directly rescaled at 1080p i guess...], but most of the other stuff I gave a shot at did get recorded properly [even if at 720p - which wouldn't bother me if it weren't for YT mudding the quality for 720p uploads, but at least here that didn't happen as noticeably].

Long story short, gave a shot at some developer times I hadn't tried before, this time with T.T. instead of ol' Tiptup to make sure I actually got them. I did get around seven or eight devtimes done maybe, but the two highlights would be the Ancient Lake run [because I stayed grinding further for a faster personal best] and the Pirate Lagoon run [had to look up how to get better with the hovercraft and learned about the way you tap for it, as well as snaking].

For the Pirate Lagoon run I had to look on dkr64's tips and tricks page to learn about snaking, while to find out about the last zipper being better to not green boost at, I had read the retroachievements page for that specific challenge [Pirate Lagoon dev time]. The DKR64 information also helped me learn about the barrel roll trick for speed, specifically the part about letting go of the accel to get even more speed as you do several of them as it is technically counted as a boost by the game [so you get more speed for letting go], although doing that and stopping at an area without a zipper or turn you'd need to slow down for anyways can make you lose some time as you really dip down in speed afterwards.

I had played MHX some years ago on my PSP in both Normal and Hard as X, but I revisited the game recently not only for retroachievements but also for a challenge in a certain server, that consisted in beating the game as X AND Vile before the month ended. And funny thing is, I had never actually completed Vile's mode until now.

I didn't go for a full completion with X's mode yet but I do have the save to return and do that quickly - a highlight I have of that run though is deciding to go for the Wall-less Sigma 1 achievement.

Even for replay warehouse standards [which aren't high] the video really didn't move a needle lmao [even the Viewpoint 2064 run, which was cool but the RW channel specifically isn't like a big channel so that everyone suddenly flocks watching it, had a few more] - but that doesn't matter, for this video is my proof of how I pulled that off - and also proof that Sigma can be VERY stupid to sometimes spam his laser attack from a distance that can be dodged by standing still if he isn't in point blank range, although if he jumps at you instead, hope you got good timing with the jump dash or enough health to tank the hit.

For Vile, I don't have any highlight clips yet, but it was kind of funny to go from [this guy stinks] with the default weapons on the opening stage, to starting to pick up a few things that make him more viable [leg weapon spam if midair, aiming the cannon to shoot forwards], then Chill Penguin giving me an infinitely superior buster shot along with free armor. From there onwards, if you know what to do with the weapons [and also which ones to choose for each boss for weakness effect, although for that you'll want a guide since there's A LOT of weapons], you can really plow through the game moderately fast.

Although some stages have some switched up things on Vile's mode, and Sting Chameleon can stay a bit annoying if you don't know the specific weapon to wreck him with. That last part is far more evident if you were to try doing the challenge of beating X and Zero with only the default weapons, as SC can take two points from the napalm/cannon but hitting him with those is easier said than done, X and Zero only take one damage from each hit [so you'll be there forever]...and you HAVE to fight Sting Chameleon in the same stage as X and Zero. But I think it can be possible to pull off without super excellent abilities if you bother going for the four subtanks and health parts to take the many punches you'll get for trying to do that.

hang up your sneakers because dr. robotnik and his ex enemies are going go karting and you will not erase them from existence

Some TA runs I did recently were to get the Platinums at Northern District, Emerald Coast, Leaf Storm, Advent Angel [tied with tyron lol], Las Vegas [kinda easier than I thought? had room to then try and improve my first PB by two secs], Metropolis [easy], aaaand uhhh yeah I forgot the rest, there's several tracks I've been poking at and I haven't even recorded all of the platinums in video. Might embed the link to all those runs on the track names later, but for now here's the Leaf Storm run [and you can find the other uploaded runs on the channel].

And on the note of stuff I did with Ring Racers, today as of writing this, I casually wanted to try Extra Cup in Master [initially Emerald Cup, then I remembered Spikes is the sealed star there, oh hell no] to get a few things unlocked - and pulled the S-Rank on my first try wow. That was despite getting a particularly turbulent race in Silvercloud Island and having some scares here and there on the rest of the races where at least I got A-Rank on them.

it's been one of those nights

more ring racers platinum medals for a smaller and smaller niche

november 26 2025

I had been thinking on maybe doing a sort of video breaking down these just for the sake of showing what they take [and so that I don't forget], but uhh maybe that will happen when I stop thinking too much about the superniche status of the game that has me wondering if there's interest for this type of stuff from anyone that isn't also trying to fiend time attack mode

Anyhow, Northern District and Emerald Coast platinums

shoutouts to babo for key things I learned for both [taking the outer sneaker panel in the end of Northern District, burning rings in Emerald Coast]

Some stuff moved around [and last night played Viewpoint 2064]

november 25 2025

Long story short, as I was listening to some old playlists I had found on my account, I ended up wanting to tinker with the site again - as a result, I moved the Game Log thing in the Memory Card thing to its own subpage, as I may want to eventually throw in stuff outside of games that gives me particular memories [therefore giving it more sense to be called memory card], while also pondering whether to only add new games to the game log when I've actually completed them at least once just for completion sake. That...and maybe revising some of the entries one day, although I did add a link to go to the oldest game log from late 2024 [already moved to the v2 folder].

Oh, and I also tried that recently discovered final master build of Viewpoint 2064.

Pretty neat stuff, although I wonder with who could I actually get to discuss this game with lmao

I tried Yakuza 4 again i guess

november 24 2025

So I may have spent up to an hour messing with the Fighter Training dojo thing in Saejima's part, until deciding to leave to do the story when the third more annoying guy rolled in - was surprised that it was actually just four parts but does make sense between the time you spend running back and forth as well as how you throw hands with Majima at the end of it.

Tanimura so far is interesting - still have to get used to his specific moves to be more strategic, but his parry is kinda crazy to have at all times and with a fairly lenient window [more so with Nair's training].

uhhh...rings of rage ex is out

november 21 2025

let's say things were kinda here and there these days - although two days ago I got to try BEETLE ADVENTURE RACIIIIING and now today in this very morning, I put out the Ring Racers montage I wanted to do with clips from the 2.4 release candidates

Maybe I'll do something with BAR one day, but uhhh...as usual, there's no promises until the day you show up and the thing happens to be already done. That also goes for any possible future ideas I may have for Ring Racers stuff.

ABSOLUTE NOSTALGIA OVERDRIVE: SRB2Kart's 7th Anniversary [and gabber music]

november 16 2025

Let's address the elephant in the room immediately. Today's SRB2K's seventh anniversary - and while last year I actually missed out on doing a special video unlike the fourth and fifth anniversaries as I missed the date, this time I remembered in time and put something together...three days before the date. But as a special switch-up [and also to make it possible] I asked for clips from many SRB2K players and could put a special montage together thanks to that.

The other thing...what was it? Oh, yeah, gabber. Talking with someone about hardcore and other music was a massive throwback to when I used to listen to such tracks a lot exactly two or three years ago - its also quite the trip to discuss music with someone for the first time in a good while. Time sure flies when I think about it, as I even re-unlocked a memory of listening to Sy & Unknown Ft Mc Storm - Ravers Anthem thanks to those ancient Stickman Randomness videos by Hopdiddy.

Thinkin' about things [and ring racers...and srb2kart]

november 13 2025

So first things first, Marble Garden PB in RR 2.4. Cool that I can actually get the plat with Vectorman, but I still grinded for a sub 1'20 tune when I beat it and took me a fair while - needed to wait a bit at the start for the right cycle to kick off and reach the booster cut with the spikes being down without needing to slow down.

About the thoughts I was alluding to at the heading, it has been interesting to currently put my Ring Racers GP and TA runs on my replay warehouse channel which is basically dedicated to raw footage of whatever I play rather than sending them to the main channel - usually I would actually throw the tough stuff on the main channel [but also the Master GP runs in the 2.4 RCs] but I've thought on whether it would be more palatable for my *main* channel to be only for edited stuff [even if partially or minimally] rather than dumping all my Ring Racers [and such] raw gameplay over there. I miiight make rare exceptions for exceptionally tough stuff [like that Virtua Racing Bay Bridge 1st Place in the arcade version if I EVER GOT IT] but I've somehow been...okay with throwing most stuff in the RW channel despite almost anything there having zero motion [compared to my main channel where at least there would be maybe a hundred views at minmum].

I guess its just the freedom of being able to upload whatever there without being concerned at all about whether its a banger or a flop, which is arguably also why I ended up making this page for writing down updates like this rather than trying to cram my thoughts on [social media]'s character limit only for it to not go anywhere - whether I really wanted it or not.

Oh, and I also mentioned SRB2Kart, right? Well, its seventh anniversary is in THREE days. Hmmmmmmmm.

Ring Racers 2.4 Desert Palace TA 1'19"51 with Vectorman

november 12 2025

yeah

[quoting the description] One hour of grinding later but got my sub 1'20 in Desert Palace with Vectorman - the platinum was a high 1'20, but despite beating it twice, I wasn't satisfied until I got a run without very obvious mistakes, as I knew I could cut sub 1'20 if I pulled that off

Update on stuff from last night and today

november 12 2025

First of all, I only find out today that I had erroneously set the past entries with one day in advance...since for example, the DAYTOOONAAA bit was from yesterday nov 11...but was marked nov 12 and so.

I tried Shox last night [SHOX ZONEEE] along with doing a time attack run in SRB2Kart's Sunbeam Paradise with Gamma [got a sub 1'30] and today I tried out some more Fire Emblem [cleared the first gaiden chapter then accidentally got Serra killed by placing her on the range of two horses and a ballista on the next chapter, whoops...time to restart that] while I waited for my dentist appointment - to my surprise I actually got my braces removed today.

DAAAAYTOOOOONAAAAAAAAAAAA usa 2 is back on the menu

november 11 2025

yeah I revisited the game once again, took me a while to pull this off with the Easy and Hard cars [not so much with Normal] but got first place in the Beginner track in the Hardest difficulty with all three cars [may try Hornet Classic again later] - Normal enjoys controlled drifts and decent speed, while the Easy car swerves on the low top speed problem [it can do the last turn well even with the grip focus, but you need the right line] only solvable with slipstreaming other cars, and the Hard car although has mad top speed [more so when slipstreaming] but requires swell consistency with your drift timing, knowing how much to hold down the accelerator during the final big drift, and of course make sure to not spin out the car as you drift it through the final turn. expect embeds of these runs sooner or later

told you i would embed it when it was available [haven't rendered and uploaded the easy car run yet]

good morning, you will see something noted here when i do something

november 11 2025

its 8am, now is when i'm gonna put my hands on something and then you'll likely see me write about that progress here - but hey, i did say i'd make this page for writing whenever and whatever i wanted sooooo helloooooooo hello hello there i'm gonna open kdenlive

one more before going to sleep [ring racers 2.4 master runs, frieren]

november 10 2025

so first thing...the ring racers runs in video. yeah its in plural now cause I did a spring cup one after sneaker cup and got it on my first try [nice]

the second thing is frieren

watched episode 7 to 12 with my brother tonight, aura got told to hop off that lobby [also yeah its picking up even more now, quite neat].

So...we're doing this again with Ring Racers huh

november 10 2025

yeeeeeeeeep I finally had a chance to try Ring Racers 2.4's Master mode [I had played the release candidates before this and a bunch of online in the final version, but hadn't tested 2.4 Master on the final build] - first try I got just an A-Rank with 362 points cause I biffed Withering Chateau + got no ring bonus in three out of the five races.

You can see the new one [right click the image to open it in a larger size if needed] has quite a much more robust spread though, despite getting 2nd in Storm Rig [good performance overall otherwise] and me doing a mistake in Autumn Ring getting me a B-Rank [but I somehow could steal first at the end]. Expected something in the 375-385 ballpark so was quite nice to see a whopping 390 smashing the [370] target for the S-Rank.

Well, this not only reminds me of when I was doing the S-Rank runs in Master 2.3 last year, but also when I was documenting my progress on that on my first Game Log page before I changed the website theme...now that really takes me back. Nice of this bulletin to give me that memory due to being able to just go on my thoughts with that here [also my thoughts on the run itself will prob be detailed on a subtitled upload of said run sooo yeah see you later].

A test bit [featuring Fire Emblem]

november 10 2025

So uhhh, I've been playing Fire Emblem Blazing Blade recently [on the phone] and on the sixth chapter of Lyn [yes I know its practically a tutorial], I did the stupid idea of trying to take Matthew's word for granted in the worst way possible: Giving Lyn the Armorslayer from that one chest to fight Bool.

I got one tapped. And the game autosaves so I had to repeat the whole chapter again. Both of my brothers [one of them laughing] told me off for not reading the pre-battle window that should have warned me clearly that my ass was going to get cooked by Bool if I did that, whoops.

At least next time I got Erk to fry that guy. But you know, stupid games, stupid- UGHHHH I thought about the kind of people that say that phrase and now its ruined. Uhhhh...oh well, things that happen to a novice after all [I have known about FE for a while but this is the first time in years I try playing one of the games again]
