You know, its funny to think that Leon has got to go through three whole evil zombie virus outbreaks in his lifespan ever since he was a rookie cop. Playing this in Co-Op mode with my brother, which not only is practically the intended way [with how the game is designed for coop] but also more useful than having the CPU...since my brother decided to start playing in Professional difficulty from the get go. At least slow progress is progress overall [and I have to write about RE5 one day since we actually completed that before retaking RE6] - Leon's chapter is down as of writing this.
I know Backloggd exists, but I want to do that here instead anyways.

Ada's Campaign - Co-Op Professional difficulty [I AM THE AGENT]
May 8th, 2025 - Chapter 1 and 2 Clear
May 9th, 2025 - Chapter 3-5 Clear [ALL STORIES CLEARED]
If I miss out on talking on a chapter, it's likely because I played it but then forgot to write about it and then forget the details for later...and Leon Chapter 1 is missing because I started writing this LONG after I played that. All chapters here described from being played at Professional and split-screen coop with my brother [unless stated otherwise].
Leon's Campaign Chapter 2
Those sobbing screaming running enemies were infuriating at first to sort out - if they go YAAAAAAARGH anywhere near your vecinity, you're taking a hit...which means a knockdown if low on health and death if you were in critical state. It took us until that one part where we had to fend them off to enter the Cathedral to figure out that not only shooting it down while it bulges up in red is the best moment to do so, but also that running away from its range allows to survive both his normal attacks and whenever it...does the scream anyways seconds after you actually kill it.
Speaking of annoying enemies, those damn red zombies that tank shots like champs and leap at you for guaranteed damage/death if not moving when they do. For that scuffle I mentioned above, we had to route those things with incendiary grenades to whittle down their health faster and then try to cap them off with whatever ammo we had.
My brother accidentally spent his one first-aid spray by hitting the RB because he didn't know [nor did I] that it was for using the spray. Oops. At least the game respawns us with full health whenever it throws you into some big BS to figure out on the first go.
Statues with fire arrows of death? Who even built the place?? And why they thought on doing these Mario Party ass minigames to whoever stumbled upon it? A funny part though is to notice in the room afterwards where you have to laser the mirrors...is that there's a normal ass guy dead on the entrance with the laser gun hinting to what you had to do.
That cathedral boss caught us a few times whenever it climbed up the stairs because it would do this gas attack during the cutscene...and one of us, in critical state, took a death from it. I think that after two deaths maybe we took our time by staying away from it, shooting it down with rifle, and even getting a chance to melee slam it myself when it was stunned at one point, pushing it to finally dying.
The numbered doors were interesting - took us a few minutes reading each one and guessing, but we then easily did the first door...and when we ran into the second one, we spent several minutes deliberating until we were into only two combinations being possible for the right door but having to guess between one of them. We guessed the right one on the first try :]
no comment on that vhs tape
The section afterwards though...we died quite a few times to stray zombies coming out of vents or trying to move to where the switches were - I think I ate the most deaths there becuase of those stupid vents always being nearby switches and not knowing about them until I died to them at least once. Having a single red leaping zombie on the last switch to proceed afterwards was mean, but at least the second time where I got there [I was playing Helena so I was the one that had to deal with it close up], my brother [Leon] helped me whittle it down with sniper rifle shots.
I forgot what happened between that and the fight with Deborah. Maybe there was nothing in between or maybe- oh yeah I was the one carrying her, but at least we didn't get killed once on that ordeal.
HELENA PLEASE LET HER GO AND STOP GETTING ME INTO SUDDEN QTES THAT KILL ME THE FIRST TIME
Deborah [the boss] was KO'ing my brother quite a few times because we hadn't figured out rolling yet, but at least by that point, as we searched how to do it on the lift switch room, we both had learned the whole thing of merging pills and having them in the inventory for quick heals...it was super confusing at first even when looking it up because its so different from RE5, but eventually it kind of make sense.
It is funny as it is stupid that Helena all the way was like "I have to show you this myself or else you wouldn't believe it" while having him blind from whatever she knew when Leon had been through TWO WHOLE VIRUS OUTBREAKS ALREADY, what do you mean he wouldn't believe it as if he hadn't seen a trillion monsters and Umbrella experiements at that point?
We finally completed the level...and THEN we actually checked on the Skill Store - we got Firearm Master Lv1, Defense Lv1 and the skill that lets enemies drops items more frequently.
Leon's Campaign Chapter 3
Okay so the things I can remember besides the water escape where I had to help shoot at the creature to let Leon get to the shore and then the section where you fight the big fish while going down a slide (also why the sudden QTEs there...and everywhere else) would be THAT section where I'm stuck running up a crumbling pillar as Helena and then having to wait for Leon to not only give me a hand by shooting down the zombies before climbing the way up, but also with the nasty combo of the BIG MAN zombie accompanied by those acid spitting and leaping zombies (the Shrieker I could deal with early with a sniper rifle) and dying to that section like 3-4 times. The last death was because I lowered the bridge but my brother wanted to keep killing a few more that appeared...and since all of them happened to be leaping zombies, they bullet sponge through our defenses, killed me and forced one last retry. Whee.
Leon's Campaign Chapter 4
THAT thing again?? At least the game gave us a free magnum to both and later had us holding out until switching the objective to let it fall off the plane.
I don't know the name of that creature that splits in half when you try to kill it, but why is the death animation to it so long
I should remember more about what went here - oh wait right the section where we are driven in a car and NOTHING happens for a solid few minutes until we're dropped off lmao
Leon's Campaign Chapter 5
Oh hey, it's the prologue lol
THIS STUPID GUY DOESN'T WANT TO STAY DOWN AFTER THREE OR FOUR ENCOUNTERS
We had to look up what exactly to do with that lightning rod since after the first attack with it, we were completely clueless and kept trying to melee it while holding the rod and walking slowly - only to get killed for it. Seems that Capcom still had its "haha" guide dang it moments in them since creating most of RE5's Chapter 6-3, both with the area before the final fight and both Wesker phases...
We died WAY less in this Chapter than in any other lol
