PMEX REMIX

Last Entry Update: May 3rd, 2025

I have fond memories of this one since it basically was my group of friends's Smash Ultimate at home [due to the lack of access to the real thing], although nowadays it makes me feel nostalgic more than anything since I haven't got as many chances to try it out with them again like previous years, as well as the original PMEX Remix project being discontinued. But it is still a huge creation somehow built on Brawl's engine stuffed with mostly polished characters, a community of players, and a future overhaul [REX] coming who knows when...but is known to exist, which is more than many other game franchises can say.

You know I had to do it to 'em.

  • Hoo boy, there's gonna be quite a lot of 'em here. A few playlists with bunch of matches will be listed here already, but there's more unlisted footage that I have to compile into playlists as well - and also link the two silly PMEX montages I made with that footage.

  • A few years before I was ever able to get my hands at Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the first time ever, PMEX Remix was basically my house's equivalent to that game. A fanmade mod for Super Smash Bros. Brawl that used PM/P+ as a base that, aside from carrying the characters of that base mod, also included a slew of new characters for the game - some being inspired or directly based off their appearance at Ultimate...while others [VECTORMANNNNNNNN] were completely made from scratch with original movesets. This game is definitely one that I could talk about far more if it were to be about the many hours I sunk into this game with friends, which I definitely want to talk about here sooner or later whenever I can properly prepare a space for that in this entry.

Also had seen its funny amount of changes too, between newcomers being added and existing characters being remade to be of higher quality [I still remember watching that trailer that featured the Ult-like trails for attacks and VECTORMANNNNNNNNNN]. I still remember a version where Black Shadow had a way more insane super armor while changing his Falcon Punch equivalent, and a Knuckle Joe that could spam fireballs that would go THROUGH players...making it a large nuisance for those that fought against it - and the character of choice of an old buddy that played Knuckle Joe because of that lmao [and dropped Joe when an update got rid of that].

But seriously, this was one of THE games to put at my house back when I was still at the first years of university and could gather with my old highschool and new university friends to play together so many times - so I definitely have a fondness for what this game provided thanks to that.
