DR. ROBOTNIK'S RING RACERS
Hang up your sneakers, because Dr. Robotnik and his ex-enemies are going GO KARTING!
Currently a work in progress with how I would theoretically have at least a subpage dedicated to the custom tracks I've done for this game, but for now, you can see most of my output in the form of the Grand Prix runs and the other playlists including
Also, Sweguin's two hour video about the game pulled me back into the ring racers race as a ring mines so i'm throwing this up here as-is anyways

Replay Recording and Spectator Camera Tricks
Turning off HUD during replays (and in-game):
By pressing the F3 key in-game, whether playing or while spectating/watching a replay, the HUD will be turned off.
Make camera follow a player dynamically:
By holding the Ring Bail button while in Free Camera mode (should be the button that's shown next to a X-like symbol), it will rotate and pivot automatically to follow the last player you had selected before switching to Free Camera.
Combine this with disabling the HUD for some pretty cinematic shots to record or screenshot, although the camera will only rotate on its own - you still need to move it manually to follow the racer if it's moving away from the camera.
Toggling On/Off the "Watching [Player Name]" text during replays/spectator:
You can toggle on and off the name display while spectating or watching a replay with the console command "showviewpointtext" - use "showviewpointtext off" to turn in off and "showviewpointtext on" to turn it back on.
Set game to run internally in slow motion for slow-mo shots during replays:
You need to activate cheats in the console while you're watching a replay - it should get turned off when you exit the replay, but it needs to be enabled during the replay to do the slow motion trick.
By using the timescale option, you can make the game run faster or slower than it should, and in this case, you want to use it to make things slower. Typing "timescale 0.5" and pressing Enter in the console should make the game logic run at half the speed, but the sounds and framerate will stay the same, only the game itself will appear to be playing slower.
You can use this specifically for shots that are meant to be in slow motion while being able to actually see this smoother than if you slowed down a recording at normal speed.
